Pitch day task (notes)

Pitch day: 13^th November 2015.

Pitch needs to be 8 slides with a summary of the tasks we will complete.

1.       Introduces ourselves and who we are and what we’re going to do. Who our audience are. Extension: create a company logo and compare to real companies.

2.       Concept and USP. What happens in the opening? Narrative and genre? What style are you going for? USP: What is different about your thriller than any other out there? Extension: Analysis of genre, subgenre and style to compare to other thrillers. (USP = Unique Selling Point.)

3.       Shot list and storyboard. A brief description of the shots in our thriller and how they will engage the audience. Extension: At least 40 shots prepared with a detailed storyboard.

4.       MeS, what are your ideas? Props, style, genre and sub-genre, actors, locations. Extension: Mise-en-scene and analysis of genre.

5.       Typography and ident. Create an opening timeline of our opening and talk about how our titles are going to be shown. Extension: get examples from existing films to compare how they have inspired your opening titles. (polleverywhere)

6.       Sound effects. What sound track have you chosen/going to make? Extension: What thrillers have influenced your sound and how will it intrigue the audience?

7.       Risk assessment. What potential hazards within your film and how will you overcome them?
